Anonymous asked: I came out to my parents. It went well with my mother, until weeks later she kind of exploded at me in anger. And that was how I was forced to tell my dad. He...handled it, as a best case scenario description. It was okay for weeks again, then she exploded on me again. She made comments like "I wish you had died as a baby so I wouldn't have to deal with this" and "I wouldn't care if you killed yourself, I'd be losing a dyke not a daughter." She said sorry later. Should I just forgive and forget?

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. I don’t know if I could forgive and forget and I have a feeling you might not be able to do it either. Those were some hurtful things that were said to you. If you can forgive that is wonderful… as long as she really meant it.

Just know that you are not less than anyone else. Your life is worth more than what your mother said to you. Hopefully she knows that and will come around eventually. If you ever feel in danger in your own home please have a safe place to go. A friend, loved one or maybe a local youth group. Do some research in your area just incase.

Stay safe <3
